Yesteryear Collection

One of the more unusual - but popular - forms of Texaco collectibles are vintage gasoline pumps. As the shape of these mechanisms has changed over the years, the older forms have begun to attract collectors. The 1920s offered 10-gallon pumps in which one actually saw the pumped fuel as well as hand-cranked pumps; clock-faced pumps and dial pumps became fashionable in the 1930s; and the classic Fire Chief and Sky Chief pumps were a common sight in the 1940s. Many of these pumps were crowned with glass globes - highly sought after in themselves. Some have fetched as much as $2,500 on the secondary market.

While Texaco is well known for petroleum products, the C-series of light trucks is often considered one of International-Harvester's finest lines. In the 1930s, the company began using alphabetical designations for its new series, and the C-series garnered most of the attention. Its fame rested on being the first IHC truck to feature automobile-like styling and its popularity meant that the series would have a production output of 75,000 units.

Now, the classic 1934 International C-Series light-duty truck and a vintage Texaco gasoline pump are brought together in a handsome die-cast model. This meticulously crafted replica features a removable gas pump in the bed. Precision -engineered, your Texaco 1934 International C Series Pickup Truck is part of The Matchbox Collectibles Texaco Collection: Vintage Delivery Trucks Edition. It is produced by - and available only from - Matchbox Collectibles.
